The Past

What do you see when you walk past empty and abandoned places?

Do you see a decrepit building falling into disrepair
or
do you see an empty shell lined with stories from another time?

Whenever I see an abandoned building,
I am always in awe at how a sad location
can be filled with so much beauty that it almost seems sacred.
My head starts to fill with stories
as I imagine what this space once held
and what events could have taken part here.

These meditative spaces are truly works of art with gardens for the imagination.
